The Last Of Us
Perhaps the most hyped game currently, The Last of Us is an upcoming
post-apocalyptic third-person survival action-adventure game developed
by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation 3. The game will involve gunfighting
and melee combat, dynamic stealth and it will have a cover system of
sort.
With the strong presentation already, The Last of Us won multiple
awards after E3 2012 showing such as Best of Show, Best PS3 exlusive,
Best Console Game etc.
Tomb Raider
We’ve been eagerly following the development stages of latest Tomb
Raider which has been said to be an origins story that creates Lara
Croft and takes her on a character defining journey like no other.
So far we’ve liked what we have seen. Surely this visually stunning
open world game that combines action-adventure, platforming,
exploration, RPG elements should not be missed.
God of War: Ascension
I’ve heard people say that God of War series alone is a good reason to
buy PS3. True or not, seeing another God of War title is always a good
thing. Sony has stated that the single-player will feature a revamped
combat and weapon system, promptless mini-games and new puzzles.
It is also worth noting that the game will offer a multiplayer feature
for up to eight players, with a small story element. Release date March
12
Rayman Legends
Released exclusively for the Wii U, the direct sequel to 2011’s hit
Rayman Origins will carry the style of gameplay from Rayman Origins in
which multiple players run, jump, punch and kick their way through
tricky levels.
The demo, which can be downloaded from Wii U’s eShop, not only
demonstrates some fun use of Nintendo’s Gamepad controller but left
stupid grins to our faces. Besides, the game looks gorgeous. The joyride
begins in February 26th
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, unlike previous titles in the Metal
Gear series, is action oriented, focusing on swordfighting and a
sophisticated cutting system. Since Solid Snake is no katana-wielding
hero, for the first time in the series, players assume control of the
cyborg ninja Raiden. A refreshing turn in the series although there are
lot of elements that might make the game go awry.

Watch Dogs
Meet Aidan Pierce, a man who can hack any electronic device to do his
bidding. A game set in slightly different world than our own; the theme
of the game is clearly based on our own reliance on electronic
equipment. Not much of the game is actually known, but the main gameplay
mechanic of Watch Dogs is the use of hacking and surveillance.
Keep an eye out for this game.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of White witch
The only jRPG on the list, and the must have game for every jRPG fan,
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a game developed by LEVEL-5
with animation by no other than Studio Ghibli and music by Joe Hisaishi.
Knowing the genre, fans will be pleased to hear that Western version of
the PS3 game will include both English and Japanese voice tracks.
The title surely has the potential to be a keeper. The game hits the shelves on January 22nd
Grand Theft Auto V
Even though we don’t have a release date yet, GTA V should find its way
to store shelves during 2013. With very little information of the game
(which consists mainly of the trailer basically) fans of the game are
already biting their fingernails off and we too are more than ready to
enjoy the next installment of the series.
Gears of War: Judgement
Crafted from possibly the better third-person shooters of this
generation, Gears of War: Judgement is almost guaranteed to be a hit for
2013. Why? By the looks of it, Gears of War: Judgement is faithful to
the tried and true mechanics of the previous installments. Even so, with
the new introduced game modes, the game has lots of potential; let’s
just hope it provides us something new and engaging.
Bioshock Infinite
The previous Bioshock titles managed to deliver a compelling, dark
and immersive universe that many people fell in love with. Moving all
the mythology of underwater dystopia Rapture to the sky is not the only
the only change we know to expect cause the change will bring – not only
a whole new philosophy – but new enemies and gameplay mechanics.
I’m sure somewhere there are fans already lining up to get their
hands on the game, but the rest of us can wait until late March.
