Al Habtoor Group, a UAE-based diversified conglomerate, will solely fund the world’s first Fashion Hotel in Dubai and is currently working with Fashion TV to finalise the location within the emirate, Emirates 24|7 can reveal.
“Fashion TV has made the concept designs, but not the detailed design. This will take some time. We also need to agree with Fashion TV management pertaining to location,” said Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Al Habtoor Group.
“The value of project has not been finalised and is under study. Fashion TV will not be investing in this project… we will be investing the money 100 per cent.”
Asked what has inspired the company to take a decision to bring Fashion Hotel to Dubai, Al Habtoor said: “Dubai is renowned for its pioneering iconic, mega structures, and we too would like to contribute to Dubai with a unique project. Being the pioneer of this new venture is another step forward for us.”
Last week, Al Habtoor and Michel Adam, President of Fashion TV global network signed an agreement to establish the first Fashion Hotel in Dubai.
According to the Fashion TV’s presentation, F Hotels are specifically designed to satisfy and delight the ever growing global fashion community, trend setting urban professionals, and all sophisticated business and leisure travelers.
F Hotels are also intended to be an ideal choice for large-scale fashion industry events and promotional activities, fashion shows, VIP parties, photo and movie shoots, star interviews, and other social engagements, the company said.
The five-star hotel will comprise 30-storeys and 200 rooms, with the exterior displaying a projection using the world's largest 100 metre LED screen, broadcasting the latest Fashion TV highlights, around the clock.
